How UMAP Works
While UMAP has discussed the development of multi-lateral and
thematic exchanges in the future, the core of UMAP is reciprocal exchange -- a proven approach that when administered
effectively results in every institution and student receiving value from the experience.
The system is straightforward: a student from institution
A in country X travels to country Y for study at institution B.R
And in a subsequent year a student from institution B will travel to country X to study at institution A.
Where other countries develop consortia like U.S. UMAP the flow will be from country to country without a direct relationship to the institution from which the student is sent. This increases the flexibility of the system and should facilitate more exchanges. |
